Splendor Chat
Splendor anonymous and private chat
A peer-to-peer messaging platform that prioritizes privacy, anonymity, and security, operating seamlessly over the Tor network.
Splendor Chat leverages the Tor network to establish an anonymous communication framework, employing the onion v3 protocol for data transport security. It grants the capability to set up onion services on various devices, enabling direct and anonymous connections without the need for server configuration. The platform employs the signal protocol for data encryption, ensuring all data is securely encrypted before transmission through the Tor network to the designated recipient. This architecture results in a dual-layered end-to-end encryption model, accomplished without the involvement of any intermediary server or service.
Encryption
We use the signal protocol over onion v3 protocol to give you two layers of end2end encryption that can only be decrypted by your contact. We don't operate any storage servers, all your data is stored on your device only. Registration is unnecessary, as the approach involves initiating a Tor onion service and engaging in communication with contacts exclusively through their own Tor onion services. This method circumvents the need for a central server.
Splendor Chat diverges from utilizing HTTP and instead relies on its proprietary transport protocol, meticulously crafted to prioritize anonymity and simplicity. For instance, when transmitting a message, the process entails encryption using the Signal protocol. Subsequently, an onionV3 encrypted connection is established, serving as a conduit for transmitting the encrypted message over an already encrypted channel.
Verification to add contacts
To add contacts, the emisor user needs to share their encrypted address provided by the application and information related with a question, i.e:
What is your favorite animal?
Lion
In this case, when a user wants to add a contact, receives the encrypted public key to add, and the answer`s question, via off-splendor chat. Then, the app asks that question to the user be approved by the app and the contact added.
Send encrypted emails
When a user creates an account in Splendor Chat, has the possibility to link their email accounts with the encrypted public key, allowing to the app identify an mail only reading the encrypted public key. In the case that a user wants to send an anonymous email, just select the email message, and send like a normal message.
